With the beautiful music provided by Florida Pitt Waller's and Archuleta' choirs, everyone was in the holiday spirit at the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting.  The GVR Recreation Center was packed with families coming to enjoy the sweet treats and visit with Santa.  Photography services were graciuosly donate by one of the team members at Helm Orthodontics.  Photos with Santa will be available on or before December 19, 2011.  Please check back here for the link.

Thanks to the GVR Moms Group, kids were able to make and take home ornaments...and great memories.  A lucky winner also took home a georgous holiday basket, donated by An Essential Basket- a local GVR home business. Contact Lydia
(720.935.0306) if you would like to brighten someone's day with a beautifully decorated gift basket.

The local Optimist Club was (and still is) offering an easy opportunity to support children in our area by purchasing and using a special King Soopers gift card.  The Optimist club then receives a donation each time you use that card.  It's an easy way to support a wonderful organization.  For more information about the cards or our local Optimist Club, please contact LaVetta at the GVR Metro District. The GVR Metropolitian District also provided information about classes they offer, including basic computer classes!

Year after year a generous donation from our local builder, Oakwood Homes, and the time, creativity, and dedication of the Citizen Advisory Board Events Committee makes this annual event possible. Thank you to everyone who contributed and attended this year's magical event!
