Green Valley Ranch Citizens Advisory Board Update
By Tim Sheahan
First of all I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and hope one of your resolutions for 2010 is to get more involved in the Green Valley Ranch community. We need everyone’s support to make this a great place to live, work and play! Please go to our website at www.mygvr.org and see what is happening in our community and also how you can get involved! You may e-mail me anytime and we will be glad to get you on a committee!
We have lots to be thankful for in GVR, a new school coming in 2010, a new library breaking ground in March and lots of other great assets in our community.
Did you know that the Denver International Airport, one of our neighbors is the fifth busiest airport in North America and the 10th busiest airport in the world? We were very lucky to have Kim Day, Manager of Aviation present at our last quarterly meeting. They are going to be going through some major expansion plans in the next few years. I would recommend that you check out www.flydenver.com for more information on what is happening at DIA. They are looking at adding several more runways over the next few years. As part of their expansion they are looking for community input… so if you are interested in getting involved please contact me.
