B.R.A.G. To Improve Your Business

By David Stahlecker

Don’t let this recession get you down. Now is the time to fight for your business but you don’t have to fight it alone. There are others out here who want to help. BRAG (Business Relationship Action Group) is a business group based in Green Valley Ranch whose members are dedicated to improving our businesses by building relationships with each other and with the community. We’re not your typical networking or leads group.

Here are some things you can expect when you join BRAG:

  • Meet weekly with other BRAG members to socialize and build relationships with each other. We also discuss how to improve the group, how to help the community, and opportunities to build our businesses.
  • Periodic “open houses” with guest speakers.
  • The BRAG business expo held every year in the spring at the GVR rec center.
  • The BRAG Bag. This popular marketing tool provides an opportunity for GVR businesses to reach 2,000 residents for a very low cost.
  • Numerous opportunities to volunteer for local organizations.

So what does it take to join BRAG? Well first you have to want to improve your business. Second you have to believe that giving back to the community is the best way to network. Third you have to want to make a lot of friends because the best way to get a customer is to make a friend. Lastly, you have to come to a meeting. Bring your business cards and any other information you have and be prepared to tell us a little bit about yourself and your business.

Currently we meet every Thursday night at 6pm in Matte Sopranos in the King Soopers shopping center. If you have questions feel free to contact Lydia Flynn with An Essential Basket (720) 935-0306 or anessentialbasket@hotmail.com.
