AMC Cancer Fund Relocates to Stapelton Area

AMC Cancer Fund recently relocated to the Stapleton area after more than 100 years in Lakewood.  Our proximity to the Anschutz Medical Campus allows us to better serve our mission to raise funds and awareness for the University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC) to support its outstanding programs in cancer prevention, care, education, research and service to the nation.  It is the only Comprehensive Cancer Center in the Rocky Mountain region, designated by the federal government.

AMC Cancer Fund believes, by creating hope through science, we will one day see a world without cancer.  We invite the District 11 community so join us for the many wonderful events and outreach efforts we will be conducting in the upcoming year:

Saturday, April 3  Prairie View High School is teaming with the Colorado Rapids to raise funds for AMC.  Join us at the season opening game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park and for every ticket sold, the Rapids will donate $7 to cancer programs.

Saturday, May 15  The Gift of Life and Breath 5k Run/Walk at Anschutz Medical Campus supports research into the early detection of lung cancer.  Lung cancer is the number one leading cause of all cancer deaths because there is currently no effective way to screen for it early.  Register, form a team, fundraise and join us for some great excercise!

Wednesday, June 9  The Wine, Women and Wisdom Event at the University of Denver's Newman Center features a one-woman play called "Jonna's Body."  Join us early for "Girl's Chat" to learn more about the breast cancer research and treatment taking place at the University of Colorado Cancer Center.

Please visit our website at www.amc.org or call 303-239-3335 to learn more about AMC, our history of caring and curing, and out fundraising events.
