2011 Gobble Wobble Design Contest- share your art with the community!
Attention Far Northeast Students: Your creativity is needed! Help us design this year's artwork for the 5th Annual Gobble Wobble 5K Run/ Walk and McDonalds Kids Sprint. You could not only win $50 for yourself, but also $200 for you school!
Using an 8.5 x 11 blank sheet, draw your idea for "Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action." - W.J. Cameron. Please do NOT draw a T-shirt on the form. Designs will be printed on the race day Tech-shirts and full use of the space is intended, although CAB reserves the right to adjust the colors used for printing purposes. Student information/name should NOT be incorporated into design. Please legibly write (in pencil) student name, grade and school on the BACK of the submission.
Online voting of your school’s top 10 entries will be posted online at MyGVR.org for voting by the community from Oct. 20- Nov. 3, 2011. Anyone who registers with an email address at MyGVR.org can vote once daily. The 10 entries receiving the most online votes will enter the final round and two winners will be determined by the CAB Events Committee, one from ECE-5th grade and one from 6-12th grade. Entries will be judged on theme, use of color, neatness, and overall appearance. Only bold, colorful, and complete designs with legible and correct spelling will be considered.
The winning students will receive a $50 gift certificate, a race day Tech-shirt, and the student’s school will receive $200 for its art program from the Green Valley Ranch Foundation. The drawing will be placed on the front of the race T-Shirt, (6 – 12th grade): backside of the race T-shirt (ECE – 5th grade), in the race day program, and in the next edition of the GVR Voice and the Far Northeast Reporter, helping to advertise the event.
Just drop your entry( one entry per student) at your school (10 entries will be selected per school) and be sure to vote here at MyGVR.org from Oct. 20, 2011 - Nov. 2, 2011.
