Green Valley Ranch Library Groundbreaking

The Denver Library officicals and City Councilmember Michael Hancock held a groundbreaking on March 13 for a 26,000 square foot library for the Green Valley Ranch community.  In early 2011 the community will be able to enjoy the following features of the new library:

  • 100,000 new books, CD's and DVD's
  • Cozy reading nooks for children, teens and adults
  • 50 new public access computers
  • Wi-Fi throughout the building

It’s official! The winners of the 2nd Annual Earth Day poster contest have been selected. Montbello High School and the Denver Boys and Girls Club participated with 90 entries!

Economic stimulus funds boost private sector hiring in Denver

Wage subsidies availabel for metro Denver businesses through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

The Denver Office of Economic Development (OED) announces the availability of wage subsidy funding for Metro Denver businesses to hire new employees.  The program is made available through the City's allocation of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act workforce development funding.
