GVR CAB Elections
Annually, the GVR Citizens Advisory Board must hold its annual officer elections and appointment of Board members.
On January 17, 2012 these elections will occur.
All residents and/or business owners residing in GVR as identified by the City and County of Denver are eligible to run for one of the officer positions, or apply to be selected for one of the Board Member positions. Those meeting the GVR residency requirements who are present at the meeting on 1/17/2012 will be eligible to cast one vote for each of the positions being voted on.
We will verify residency for all those voting by driver’s license, utility bill, and/or business card with GVR address for those business community members. Please come prepared to provide that identification to receive a ballot or vote for the elections of officers.
The Board is made up of 29 members, including the 4 elected officers.
The four officer positions that will be elected are Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasurer, and Secretary.
The 4 elected officers will appoint the 4 committee chairs; Education, Community Events, Neighborhood Economics, and Public Safety.
The pool of interested Board members applications will be provided to each of the respective Metro Districts. If you live south of GVR Blvd your application will go to the GVR Metro District. If you live north for GVR Blvd, your application will go to the Town Center Metro District. Each Metro District will review the applications and will appoint 10 board members each, which may include the elected officers who will also be members of the board. The remaining applications not selected by each Metro District will be reviewed and elected by the 20 appointed Metro District Members.
